The 1960-61 was one of inconsistancy with some great home wins scoring four against Newport,QPR,Tranmere, Hull,and Five against Barnsley and Torquay.
But away from home they conceeded seven at Watford, four at Barnsley,Bradford,Colchester ,Chesterfield and Southend.Gates were down and they finished a poor
15th.The following season things didn't get any better.But during October 1960 Derrick Robins took over as chairman and gave Manager Frith the vote of confidence.
This partnership only lasted a year before Frith was sacked.
